Psalm 95:1-3 “O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.”
Psalm is well-known among believers. It reminds us as believers that we have many reasons to give thanks to our God and sing His praises. It also reveals that He desires His people to be happy and satisfied with Him and His mercy.
Christ certainly is the Rock of our salvation. He is the solid foundation of it and without Him there is no salvation. Because of Calvary, there can be no doubt of His love for us, and because of His resurrection, we know that we also will be raised and live with Him.
Politicians always have to be concerned about the people’s vote. Not our God. As our King, He cannot be dethroned, overpowered, or overthrown. It was tried once, but Jesus said He saw Satan, as lightning, fall from Heaven. I believe it means that he was hit so hard and fast that he did not know what hit him – but he knew he did not want to try that again.
May God help us on this Sunday, if you are physically able, to meet with other believers and “sing unto the Lord” for His goodness, mercy, and grace. He is faithful – are you?
