Hebrews 10:21 “And having an high priest over the house of God; Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;).”
The world is changing fast. Things that were never dreamed of in America just five years ago are now being seen frequently. COVID and its current problems and changes in the world could not have been predicted five years ago.
Something else that was unforeseen just five years ago is the current condition of the Bible-preaching churches. There has been a lot of people that have turned away from the local church.
At one time, some of these people were zealous in serving God and being an example and blessing to others. Now, they won’t be seen in any church.
This makes me want to ask them: Has God changed? Has He stopped blessing the faithful? Has He failed to meet the needs of those that love Him? Has He stopped being merciful and gracious when those things are needed? To them I would also like to say: Why quit now when we are so close to going to glory?
To each of the above questions, my own personal testimony is no to each of them. He is faithful and cannot be otherwise. Though some of His ways are not understood now, it is still true that He will never break His promises.
The truth is that our High Priest (Jesus Christ), will never change because He cannot. This means that the believer will never have a real reason in light of eternity to quit.
It is time for the real believers to stand up and provide examples as to what a real Christian should be – based on the Bible. Thank God that the more faithful you are to Him the more faithful He will show Himself to be to you.
