Psalm 103:12 “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
One of the greatest joys a believer can have in Christ is that their sins will never be brought up again – ever. You see, if they were to be rehashed before God, no one could be saved.
God wants us to have confidence to believe in what His Son did for us on the Cross. He died to take on Himself all the sins of the world and pay for them completely. Of course, only those who believe on Him will have their sins removed and forever forgotten.
On the Cross, Jesus uttered three incredible words: “It is finished.” By these words, He declared for all time that the payment for all sins had been made. No more payment for sin would ever be needed.
When a Christian sins – one who is “born again,” it interrupts fellowship with God, not sonship. Confession with a desire to do right in God’s eyes restores that fellowship and it does it immediately.
God knows our weaknesses. It is why He has given us so much to help us have victory. Those things include, the Word of God, Christian armor, prayer, promises, and an abundance of grace. Because of them, there really is no excuse for sin. Are you using all of them to get victory over sin? Although we are not yet perfect, we should be growing in Christ and sinning less and less.
