Psalm 111:7,8 “The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.”
In a day when truth is not considered important, believers need to be reminded that God’s Word, the Bible – is 100% true. There is nothing in it that is declared to be true that is not. There was no AI present to distort anything or make up false representations of truth. It should also be remembered that the Bible was the foundation of the principles found in the Constitution of our government. Principles worth maintaining because they are God’s.
Although the Bible is not a science textbook, it is scientifically correct. Science still must try to catch up to its declarations where science is concerned – God created it all – that also is not a lie!
The Bible is eternal. It does not need to be edited, rewritten, or have new addendums put in it. God has promised that it would endure through all ages: “They stand fast for ever and ever.”
It is complete in all the information God wanted us to have. In that information and promises, we have all we need to be able to live godly (II Peter 1:3,4). Everything is in it that is needed for salvation – faith in a living Savior.
New versions cannot compete – their changes continue to be faulty and incorrect. Many of them are changed only to satisfy someone’s – or some groups lusts to make it say what they want it to say. God will judge and expose their perversions of truth (Revelation 22:18,19).
What is needed today is for Christians to practice what they know of the Bible (KJV). We are not its judges – it judges us and exposes the thoughts of our hearts – like a two-edged sword. May God help us to conform to its pages (yes, its commandments, too) – which will make us more like Christ and better prepared to be used of Him for the glory of God.
