Looking for the Savior Today

Luke 12:40 “Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”

When you are young, time passes by slowly. You can’t wait until you are 16, then 18, and you dread 30. For those of us that are older, time seems to fly by too quickly. We often wonder – where did the years go?

As Christians, it is easy to get busy and forget the fact that Jesus could come back today. There are no prophecies that yet need to be fulfilled before His return. He could come today.

While we wait for His return at the rapture, the Lord wants His people to be about His business of getting the Gospel out to the lost. Being ready means carefully doing all that He wants us to do – in everything. We must know the Word to understand what that involves.

God’s will is that every believer be baptized, join a church, be faithful in attendance, tithe, read the Bible and pray daily, tell others how to be saved, and live holy lives. His Word tells us we will give full account for all we do and what we fail to do.

Here’s a question for you: Do you think the Savior could come today? Jesus’ answer is this: “the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”
