II Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
The question as to whether or not a revival is possible in America is tossed around by many believers today. Some say that it is and some deny the possibility. Still, many preachers and faithful believers are praying for it every day.
Personally, I believe that a revival is possible for the following five Biblical reasons:
- II Chronicles 7:14 is still in the Bible – and it has no expiration date.
- Many promises in the Bible say that God answers prayer.
- James 5:16 tells us that “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
- God wants a holy people to be in love with Him – and revival will make it possible.
- God still wants many souls to be saved – and only a revived church can make it happen.
Since God is so desirous to bring a revival, the problem as to why one is not being seen is obviously not with Him. It is with His people.
Historically, when God’s people grew sick of sin and of not having God’s blessing and power on their lives and church – and fervently sought Him – revival came.
My dear brother and sister in Christ: If revival depended on you and your walk with God – would there be one? Do you really want revival?
