Acts 16:10 “And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.”
The Apostle Paul knew that he was not to go into Asia. God had other plans for him and those who were with him.
Paul did not know what to expect after this sudden change of plans, but he knew that God was directing his steps. Whatever God wanted, Paul was ready for it.
Are you ready and willing for God to change your plans? Surprises can come that will alter our plans, but God has a reason for it.
Just today there was a problem at my house. We have recently bought a new washer and dryer. The washer somehow got put on CONTROL LOCK. I could not turn it off, which meant it could not be used, either. Anyway, I had to go to the laundromat to wash some clothes.
As I was going, I suspected that God had a purpose for me being there, but I did not know why. When I got there, the laundromat was empty. Shortly afterward, two college-age girls came in. After awhile, I started talking to them. Found out they were both saved but not going to church.
They allowed me to talk to them about the need for church and reading the Bible daily. They listened carefully.
I do not know what will come of it since neither one lives in my hometown. I do know that God sent me there just for them. They seemed to agree. They listened well and thanked me for talking to them about the Lord and His will for believers.
We need to be available for God to use – even when He disrupts our plans. Someone else may have a need you can meet – if you stay in tune with God during those disruptions.
