Mark 11:24 “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Prayer is a powerful tool that any Christian can use. It is readily available and can be done anywhere; you do not need to be in a church, go to a priest, or offer any sacrifices to pray.
Even more important is that God is willing to listen to His children and invites them to pray. As the above verse declares, God even gives us promises that He will answer prayer – all we need is faith.
Submission to His will is also needed before we can see answers, since we are also commanded to pray: “Thy will be done” in the Lord’s Prayer. This little phrase teaches us that God is not a Santa Claus – ready to grant all our wishes. Rather, we must be serving Him and seeking to promote His Kingdom in this world so in need of His Gospel.
Even though we have such promises that God Almighty will answer prayer – we must ask ourselves – are we really taking advantage of prayer and seeing God move mightily in response to it?Are we even praying at all?
