Standing Fast in God’s Power

By | June 9, 2022

Ephesians 6:10 “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”

The last thing that God wants from any of His children is that they waver in their faith and love for Him. Yet, it is happening in too many believers today.

God wants His children to be steadfast and consistent in their public and private life. If you trust in your own strength, you can be certain that you will not be strong through the day. Temptations will come in one form or another – and you will yield sooner or later.

The believer’s strength comes from the Lord and it requires that we stay in His presence and have our eyes on Him. When we do, we can claim Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Staying in His presence requires frequent prayer and special seasons of prayer.

God’s power cannot fail to carry you through this life victoriously, as long as you are submitted to Him and His guidelines for your life. His power cannot lose and you can give all the glory to Him. Remember that if you fail, you will almost certainly find a lack of prayer along the way.

Have you been depending on your own power and are often defeated? Why not call on God now and ask for forgiveness and ask Him for His will and power? He will graciously give it if you truly desire to serve Him.
