Matthew 24: 44 “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”
We live in a busy world and there are many demands on our lives. Because of the busyness, it is easy to forget that Christians must remember that He is coming back, and it will likely be soon.
We are told in I Corinthians 15:22 that the Rapture will take place in the “twinkling of an eye.” That is quick. It means there will be no time to confess sin, do anything different, or get ready to go to Heaven. There also will not be any time to tell someone about Christ or earn any more rewards.
Life as you know it, child of God, will be ended and your new life in glory begun. Every now and then, we need to take a serious look at our lives and make sure we are not building on sand. You cannot take anything from this world to the next.
Since we do not know exactly the time of His return – do not let anyone tell you they know – God said they do not (Mt. 24:36). We need to always be ready to go at any moment. Of course, that does not mean sitting around in white sheets being idle. There are still others to tell about Christ and His cleansing and saving power to change lives.
Are you actively serving Him now as if He could come today?
