I Corinthians 1:8 “Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
This verse contains a wonderful promise. Speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ, Paul reveals to these believers that Christ will not only save you, but that He will also make sure that you are confirmed.
The word “confirm” means to be established. If you wonder: in what way will you be established? – there are several. Something that is established is strong. It has endured some storms and remains. It proved to be stronger than the storms. It can be trusted to continue.
It means that He is able to keep you going – serving God – right up until the end. He is not concerned about not being able to keep you. He is the omnipotent One and nothing can take you out of His hands – or His Father’s. Neither will you ever face anything that you cannot have victory over through Christ (Phil. 4:13).
Generally, it is the bever’s mind that limits his or her relationship with God. Many trust themselves and their own abilities to keep going for the Lord. The truth is that liewhen He does the keeping – and you do the trusting and obeying – that He is able to keep you blameless on that day when we stand before Him.
Will He say of you: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant?” Will you be “blameless”? Not perfect, but having your sins confessed and walking with Him day by day?
