Through Christ our Savior, our redemption has freed us completely from the law – as far as salvation is concerned. There is no law a saved person can break that would cause God to condemn them to Hell. Thank God for it.

It is certain that many would disagree with me on this issue, but many verses verify such an amazing truth. Anyone who thinks that someone who is eternally saved can go back to a sinful life just because you are saved and not suffer for it – probably is not saved. God will chasten them if they are saved.

At true salvation, God makes the new believer a new creature and “old things are passed away.” A truly saved person is thankful for their salvation, and they want to serve God. They hate sin and that which displeases God. No, they are not perfect and will not be until the resurrection.

A growing Christian learns, like Paul, that not everything that we might do is “expedient.” That means that some things will not make us to be more like Christ, nor is it profitable to a Christian. We must exercise discernment about what we think, say, and do. God is willing to help us with this matter, if you want Him to.

Finally, Paul says that he “will not be brought under the power of any.” Sin can get your attention, and when you start listening and doing, it can enslave you. Once started, bad and sinful habits can be hard to break. With God’s wisdom, Paul declared that he will not let anything bring him into chains that keep him from doing the will of God.

Christian, are there habits in your life that you are having difficulty with? Is there something in your life that you need God’s help to break those chains so that you can serve Him more faithfully? Why not ask Him right now to help you get started on a new path of victory to serve Him the way He wants?

The Guarantee of Everlasting Life https://101info.org/the-guarantee-of-everlasting-life/ https://101info.org/the-guarantee-of-everlasting-life/#respond Sun, 26 Mar 2023 11:30:27 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=7322 Read More »]]> John 6:38,39 “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.”

Many people claiming to be believers remain unsure of their salvation. Although they may say that they are saved, there remains a doubt in their minds that they might lose their salvation.

In spite of their doubts, Jesus, the Son of God, declared plainly that everyone that comes to Him for salvation will be raised up to eternal life. In the verse prior to this one. He also said that “him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.”

Notice that in the text verse for today that Jesus said it is the Father’s will that Jesus lose no one. Now, He could not have said this if some might lose their salvation.

A professing believer cannot have real joy or victory if they are not sure of their salvation. Remember that we are not saved because of our works – or lack of them. We are saved by placing our trust in Jesus’ ability to save us by Himself because He paid the price for our redemption – praise His Name for His mercy.

The Bible declares that He has made us sons of God: “Beloved, now are we the sons of God” (I John 3:2). Notice that it is present tense – not future tense. Since children cannot be unborn, losing the status of being one of His children is not possible.

One more verse from Romans 8:30: “and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” This verse shows that all that were “justified” were also “glorified.” There is no mention of anyone becoming unjustified because it cannot happen. God only gives eternal life – not conditional life.

Can you thank God today for such a great salvation? Either you have eternal life today – or you do not. If not, or if you are not sure, why not call on Him now to ensure the forgiveness of your sins and that your eternal Home will be Heaven?

The Ultimate Price Was Paid for the Ultimate Offence https://101info.org/the-ultimate-price-was-paid-for-the-ultimate-offence/ https://101info.org/the-ultimate-price-was-paid-for-the-ultimate-offence/#respond Mon, 09 Jan 2023 13:15:58 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=6374 Read More »]]> I Peter 1:18,19 “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”

In these two verses, Peter reveals what it cost God for the redemption of our souls. But before we look at that we need to see what the ultimate offence is.

The Bible tells us that the “wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This verse speaks of the price tag for committing sin. It is eternal death in Hell. From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals that a holy God cannot and will not let sin into His heavenly Home.

Sin against a holy God is the ultimate offence because it condemns the soul to Hell forever. None of us is without sin. Romans 3:23 tells us: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

Because every one of us has sinned, we all are in the same boat – condemned without a solution.

When people understand they are in this condition, it is only natural to look for a solution. Many will try to appease God with good works. It many sound good to many people, but the Bible tells us otherwise. Good works cannot erase sin – not even one of them. In Galatians 2:16, Paul tells us, “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law” – doing good.

Other people may start going to church to try and get to Heaven. Religion will not save anyone because every sin you ever committed is still on God’s record books. Corruptible things (perishable) such as “silver and gold” can never buy salvation, either.

The only solution is the one that God provided for us. God knew that there was no other way for us to get into His Heaven. He had to create a way for us to go.

It cost God His Son to save you and me. Jesus shed His blood for us to buy our salvation. He did it because He loved us. If there was another way, you can be sure that the all-knowing God would have found it.

Instead, salvation comes only by trusting in the price He paid for you. Because the “wages of sin is death,” someone had to die in your place for you and me to be redeemed. Christ died in your place to redeem you and shed His “precious blood” to do it.

Now, it is up to you to receive His gift of pardon and salvation. He wants to save you – but it is up to you but you must ask Him for it. All you need to do is to confess to Him in prayer that you are a sinner, then, in faith, ask Him to save you today because of the price Jesus paid for you.

The Importance of the Miraculous Virgin Birth https://101info.org/the-importance-of-the-miraculous-virgin-birth/ https://101info.org/the-importance-of-the-miraculous-virgin-birth/#respond Thu, 22 Dec 2022 18:07:59 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=6134 Read More »]]> Luke 1:30-35 “30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

One of the primary teachings of Biblical Christianity is the virgin birth of Christ. In fact, the validity of the entire Bible stands or falls on this one doctrine. If it did not occur as stated in the Bible – then Christianity is false and there is no Savior.

Christmas is celebrated among Christians so strongly because the virgin birth of Christ means that there is both a Savior and salvation. It means that God has intervened in our plight as condemned and estranged sinners and found a way of redemption.

The virgin birth is absolutely necessary because of two things. First, because every human is born a sinner. Second, because every sinner – every human – falls under the curse: “for the wages of sin is death” (Romans. 6:23).

Since every human is condemned because of sin, then there is no human born of men that is without sin. If Jesus were born of natural conception, he could not save anyone because he would have his own sin to pay for. Then, redeeming someone else would be impossible.

Mary testified to the angel: “I know not a man” (vs. 34). If this were not true – it would be most foolish to lie to an angel of God. The angel does not debate the issue with her – verifying her statement. He then proceeds to explain how it will happen. He says: “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” Basically, he said – God will do it.

The virgin birth also fulfills a promise made to Isaiah hundreds of years earlier. In Isaiah 7:14, it says: “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”

Since Jesus is the Promised One – the Savior of the world – all must believe on Him for forgiveness of sin. Have you believed on Him to be your only Savior?

The Permanent Sealing of the Holy Spirit https://101info.org/the-permanent-sealing-of-the-holy-spirit/ https://101info.org/the-permanent-sealing-of-the-holy-spirit/#respond Mon, 14 Nov 2022 13:15:26 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=5397 Read More »]]> Ephesians 1:13,14 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

Bible salvation is simple to understand and easy to obtain. Because Jesus did it all on the cross for us, the only thing left to do is to repent and believe in Him.

After you believe, the verse above explains what happens next: “ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.” This means that God put His Holy Spirit within you at the moment of salvation (Jesus and God also entered). It is His entrance into your life that brings about change. Notice that nothing is said about baptism or church membership – although both of these are important.

Verse 14 tells how long we are sealed for – “until the redemption of the purchased possession.” Did you notice that He did not say that it is only until you sin again? Or until you become unfaithful?

None of these. When God seals you – it is permanent. The phrase – “the redemption of the purchased possession” is a reference to the rapture. In other words, you cannot become unsealed. If you are saved – you cannot lose it!

The permanence of salvation is why Christians ought to be happy people – the happiest people on earth. Their joy should make them want to serve the Lord Jesus Christ. We certainly also should be thankful because God has given us a gift we are not worthy of and that we could not keep if it were up to us alone.

Forgiven Forever https://101info.org/forgiven-forever/ https://101info.org/forgiven-forever/#respond Mon, 14 Feb 2022 13:15:30 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=2158 Read More »]]> John 3:18 “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

When the Lord Jesus Christ forgives someone – it is forever. If the first time that Jesus died was not sufficient to save forever, then Christ would have to die again – which will never happen. This is Paul’s argument in Hebrews 6

Further forgiveness for the purpose of salvation is unnecessary because 100 percent of the price of your salvation has already been paid – leaving you to pay zero percent. When Jesus died on the Cross, He said three most powerful words: “It is finished.” In other words, no more needs to be paid and redemption is complete. The forgiven sinner is free forever from the penalty of sin the moment he or she puts trust in Christ for salvation.

Thank God that Jesus did not pay for half of our redemption and then leave half of it for you to pay. If that were true then no one would ever get to Heaven. You would have to pay for your sins in Hell forever because “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). This would make salvation by works – which it is not, according to Ephesians 2:8,9: “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

If someone offers you a gift – you merely accept it and say thank you. You do not reach into your wallet and pay for it. If so – it is no longer a gift.

Salvation is a gift and those who truly have it will show God thanks by living for Him. God does not want you to try to earn or pay for the gift of salvation – that is a mockery to God.

Instead, yield yourselves unto God and serve Him. He will give you joy, victory, and power to do so. Yes, the Devil will not it like because you have knowingly or unknowingly served him so long – but he never really liked you or was honest with you anyway! God is greater and much more powerful than the Devil and his demons! Praise God for this!

Besides that, if you had to earn part of your salvation, or try to keep yourself saved – what joy is there in that? That would lead to fear and not confidence or faith in Christ. The truth is that it is Christ that keeps us day by day and He is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy (Jude 24). Did you notice Who is doing the keeping in this verse?
