God has always been a God that will hear sincere prayers. It is especially true in the case of those seeking salvation through faith in Christ. Today, He encourages all to come to Him seeking relief from the burden and guilt of sin: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” He waits patiently for people to seek Him, and He is ready to help them. His Spirit draws those who will hear.

There is a day coming, however, when men shall pray for mercy and salvation, but He will not hear or answer their pleas. The text verse says that “unto thee shall all flesh come.” This is God’s desire, but the opportunity is limited.

Judgment day will see those men, women, and children cry out as God exposes their every sin and indifference to His agony on the Cross for their salvation. In spite of their pleas, God will only say to them: “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” (Mt. 25:41).

There are also times when we are told that God will laugh when some people cry unto Him. Proverbs 1, verses 26 and 27 say: “I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you” (Proverbs 1:26,27).

The next couple of verses gives the reason for this kind of response from the Almighty. He says: “Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD.” These people only laughed, or ignored the message when others tried to tell them about salvation through Christ.

The verse says that, if you are not saved, now is the time for salvation. Do not put it off. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. Call on Him today for salvation and He will save you. He has promised: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved(Romans 10:13).

The Time of Reaping Shall Come – for All Sinners https://101info.org/the-time-of-reaping-shall-come-for-all-sinners/ https://101info.org/the-time-of-reaping-shall-come-for-all-sinners/#respond Sun, 10 Oct 2021 12:00:24 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=422 Read More »]]> Galatians 6:8 “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”

This verse has a sobering message for every unsaved person that reads it. One day, every person that is unsaved will have to give an account for what they have done in this life. For those who have not trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, it will be a horrible day.

Every sin that they have ever committed will be revealed, nothing will be hidden. Not only will it be revealed, but it will become open to the eyes of everyone on Judgment Day, according to Luke 12:2: “For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.” Paul expands on this in Romans 2:16: “In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.”

The Book of Matthew reveals how detailed this judgment will be. In Matthew 12:36,37, he says: “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

Many people are foolishly under the impression that God either does not see their sin or that He is indifferent to it and will overlook it. The Bible thoroughly discounts that idea. In Galatians 6:8, it says: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Jesus even told the religious leaders of His day that the only way they (or anyone) could get their sins forgiven was by believing in Him. He told them: “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins” (Jn. 8:24).

Believing on Jesus Christ is the only way to have sins forgiven so that you can be permitted to enter a holy Heaven and live with a most Holy God. Only He died to pay for your sins and mine. The good news is that any sin – no matter what you may have done – can be forgiven. God never put any restrictions on who can be saved – unless they refuse to turn from sin, call on Him, and believe that He will save them when they do. He loves you and is ready to save you. Why not call on Him right now in prayer?

God Is Unchanging In His Required Payment for Sin https://101info.org/god-is-unchanging-in-his-required-payment-for-sin/ https://101info.org/god-is-unchanging-in-his-required-payment-for-sin/#respond Sun, 11 Jul 2021 11:39:59 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=81 Read More »]]> Judge's hammer pic

God’s Law demands payment for transgressions.

Malachi 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”

Many people are under the belief that God looks at sin differently now than He did during Old Testament times. It may surprise people to know that God still answers that issue with “I change not.”

God has not changed His view of sin at all. In fact, Romans 6:23 reveals that “the wages of sin is death” – death here referring to eternal death in Hell and the Lake of Fire. “Wages” are the price to be paid for sin.

God revealed through His Son that on Judgment Day (the Great White Throne Judgment in Rev. 20) – every sin would be revealed and judged. He said: “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned” (Matt. 12:36,37). Even the careless words that people say will be judged – as well as actions and even thoughts.

God still cannot overlook sin. Every sin – to Him – not matter how small – is seen as a rebellion against His rightful authority. If He could have overlooked it, it would have been completely unnecessary for Jesus to die on a Cross – a horrible death. He had to die because it was God’s only way to pay for sin (“the wages of sin is death”) and yet be able to let the sinner go free.

God’s Word, the Bible, reveals that every human on earth – yes, even me and you, are sinners in His eyes. It says, in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Because of sin, everyone is condemned.

From the Garden of Eden up to the Cross, the only payment for sin was an animal sacrifice. It was necessary then because “the wages of sin is death.” These sacrifices were temporary and could never permanently remove sin. Later, God promised that a permanent Sacrifice would come that would be the only way sin could be forgiven and removed.
