Various Christian groups and denominations argue about the doctrine that teaches “once saved always saved.” Despite their arguments, it is what the Bible teaches. This verse proves it – and so do many others.

While the matter of “predestination” will not be discussed at this time, the rest of the verse says what is needed to be seen. First, justification means that God has forgiven the sinner by faith on the basis of what Christ did for us – His crucifixion and resurrection.

It is God declaring the new believer to be righteous in His eyes – a legal transaction. All sins are wiped away.

Before they are justified, God called them by His Holy Spirit. No one can believe on Christ except the Holy Spirit draw them. He does this when they hear the Gospel, but they have the power to refuse God’s salvation if they do not want it.

Now, focus on the last phrase of the text verse: “whom he justified, them he also glorified.” Note that there are no exceptions. The ones that have been justified will be glorified. It does not say that some of them that have been justified will be glorified. It makes a simple statement: all who have been justified will be glorified.

Just before Jesus died on the Cross, He uttered three simple words: “It is finished.” He was referring to the reason He came – to obtain salvation for all. No one died on the Cross with HimHe alone died for the sins of others. John the Baptist said of Him: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (Jn. 1:29).

By Himself He purchased our salvation, we had no part in it except to receive what He offered. What did He offer? Eternal life. John the Apostle tells us: “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Have you been justified? Then you can be sure that the rest will also happen. Make sure that your salvation is real – there is no opportunity for a second go-around.

The Glorious Resurrection of Christ https://101info.org/the-glorious-resurrection-of-christ/ https://101info.org/the-glorious-resurrection-of-christ/#respond Sun, 17 Apr 2022 12:15:08 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=2706 Read More »]]> Luke 24:4-7 “And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.”

Today is the celebration of Resurrection Day – or as some call it – Easter. Historically, it is the day in which many things changed – and many other things would yet be changed as a result of it.

Although a few others had been raised from the dead – this was the first of its kind. There would never be another resurrection like this one:

  1. Because His death was unique – He did not die for His own sins (He had none), but for the sins of the world
  2. Because no human instrument was involved in His resurrection – God did it
  3. Because no one else had ever predicted their own resurrection – and was successful
  4. Because heavenly angels announced that He was raised from the dead (above text)
  5. Because no One had ever been resurrected in a glorified Body (like all believers will have one day)
  6. Because He was seen after His resurrection by more than 500 people
  7. Because He proved it was Him (Jesus) “by many infallible proofs.”

Everything that Jesus taught was based entirely on His resurrection. He stated many times that He would rise on the third day. If He did – everything He taught was true. If He failed to rise – He was a liar and His teachings were not worthy to be believed or followed!

His resurrection proves that not only His teachings are true, but also that they are from God. It also shows that His miracles were from God and that God was with Him. And, even more important, it reveals that Jesus is God and that there is a Hell to shun and a Heaven to gain. His message was “Repent or perish!” and you must believe on Him to become your only Savior and Source of eternal salvation!

There is no other option. Remember that all other religious founders are still in their graves. Only Jesus Christ is not. Christ alone has paid for the sins of mankind – which is why He is the only Savior. This is also why the Bible says: “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).

Have you believed on the resurrected Savior yet? If not, why not call on Him today?
