As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Most Christians are very familiar with this passage in Romans. In five verses, Paul emphasizes that there is nothing that can separate us from Christ’s love.

If there were anyone that should know, he had certainly put each of these troubles to the test. They included “tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” In each case, he could boldly say that none of them was able to separate him from Christ’s love when he was going through those troubles.

The result is that he, and every Christian since, can be sure that Christ can enable us to be “more than conquerors through him that loved us.” We must notice that it is not our ability to endure trials, but it is His ability working in and through us that gives us that enablement.

As if the above list of possible trials were not enough, Paul expands it in verses 38 and 39. He adds: “neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Jude encourages believers to Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life” (Jude 1:21). It is His love for you that will enable you to keep going. It has no comparison. Your love for Him will be strengthened when you focus on His love for you: “We love him, because he first loved us” (I Jn. 4:19).

By drawing near to God and staying as close as you can with careful obedience, you will come to know His love daily and in a greater way. His love can keep you going, help you be holy, and enable you to serve Him better.

The Bible Is the Foundation of All Truth https://101info.org/the-bible-is-the-foundation-of-all-truth/ https://101info.org/the-bible-is-the-foundation-of-all-truth/#respond Wed, 03 Jul 2024 11:30:05 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=17383 Read More »]]> Psalm 111:7,8 “The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.”

In a day when truth is not considered important, believers need to be reminded that God’s Word, the Bible – is 100% true. There is nothing in it that is declared to be true that is not. There was no AI present to distort anything or make up false representations of truth. It should also be remembered that the Bible was the foundation of the principles found in the Constitution of our government. Principles worth maintaining because they are God’s.

Although the Bible is not a science textbook, it is scientifically correct. Science still must try to catch up to its declarations where science is concerned – God created it all – that also is not a lie!

The Bible is eternal. It does not need to be edited, rewritten, or have new addendums put in it. God has promised that it would endure through all ages: “They stand fast for ever and ever.”

It is complete in all the information God wanted us to have. In that information and promises, we have all we need to be able to live godly (II Peter 1:3,4). Everything is in it that is needed for salvation faith in a living Savior.

New versions cannot compete – their changes continue to be faulty and incorrect. Many of them are changed only to satisfy someone’s – or some groups lusts to make it say what they want it to say. God will judge and expose their perversions of truth (Revelation 22:18,19).

What is needed today is for Christians to practice what they know of the Bible (KJV). We are not its judges – it judges us and exposes the thoughts of our hearts – like a two-edged sword. May God help us to conform to its pages (yes, its commandments, too) – which will make us more like Christ and better prepared to be used of Him for the glory of God.

Christ is Coming Soon – Will You Be Found Faithful? https://101info.org/christ-is-coming-soon-will-you-be-found-faithful/ https://101info.org/christ-is-coming-soon-will-you-be-found-faithful/#respond Thu, 23 May 2024 11:30:33 +0000 https://101info.org/?p=17319 Read More »]]> Luke 18:7,8 “And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

In this story of a woman seeking an earthly judge to take her case against some oppressors, God reveals that He most certainly will avenge His own. He does not promise to do it immediately – maybe not even in our lifetime. You can be sure, though, that He will do it.

With this promise in mind, we are to endure and wait for His righteous judgment. It will be a perfect judgment, and God will get the glory in it. At that time, we will thank Him for it.

The thing that this text brings out is – “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” In other words, who is willing to stay faithful even when it looks like God is not seeing what the wicked do?

Friends, things are not going to get better. In fact, they will get worse, much worse. Despite what happens around us, God does not change, and His promises are still valid. Mankind will go further and further into what is in his heart: a very sinful nature that will not be ruled by God. We are seeing it all around us now.

Unless you determine now that – with His help – you will not vary in your faith and faithfulness to God and His church, you will not stand when it gets bad.

Ask God right now to help you stand today for Him and do not be concerned about the future. Do not look at the coming storm – but at the One Who is still on the Throne!
